
The M-Pesa statement is a summary of your Mpesa activities over a certain period of time. It comes in two forms: full and mini. Mini statements show only the most recent Mpesa transactions that are at least an hour old and are limited to five transactions. Full statements, on the other hand, display up to 12 months of M-Pesa transactions. Knowing how to access your Mpesa statement helps you manage your finances and keep track of your money. This article will explore the different ways to access your Mpesa statement using your phone.
1.To access your Mpesa statement using the USSD function:
- Dial *234# and select “My Mpesa Information.”
- Choose “Mpesa statement.”
- Select “Request Statement” and hit the send button.
- Choose “Full Statement” and the desired time period (e.g. last 6 or 12 months).
- Enter your official email and confirm, then enter your Mpesa PIN.
- You will receive a text message confirming the successful registration and your Mpesa statement will be sent to your email.
To download your Mpesa statement:
- Log in to your email and find the Safaricom email with your statement. The email will be password protected.
- Enter the identification card number associated with your Mpesa line (e.g. National ID, Passport, Military/Diplomatic ID) as the password.
2.Accessing your Mpesa statement using the M-Pesa app
Another option is to use the Mpesa app:

- Download the M-Pesa app from Google Play or the App Store and set it up.
- Enter an email address during registration, which can be updated later.
- Open the M-Pesa option on the app’s start page.
- Expand the M-Pesa Statement option and choose between requesting a Mini Statement or Full M-Pesa Statement.
3.Using Safaricom Self-care
To check your Mpesa statement online using Safaricom Self-care:

- Go to safaricom.co.ke in your web browser and wait for the portal dashboard to load.
- Select self-care.
- Choose “Individual” registration.
- Enter your phone number and username (must match the information used during registration).
- Agree to the terms and conditions, receive the activation number via text, and enter it to complete the process.
- You will receive a verification SMS on your mobile phone once all required information is entered.
Note: M-PESA customers will receive monthly statements sent once between 1st and 5th of every month
